Please feel free to talk about the tarantulas you have lost. They all deserve a memorial.

Saved Adult Female StripeKnee

I was in petco one afternoon and notice they had a striped knee in there forsale. I felt so bad for her b/c the guy had over twenty crickets in her cage. She looked ill. I bought her and took her home and gave her a new cage and new home good water and food. She starting looking better, her sores went away and her color came back. but after 6 months she passed away. She was the first T I lost. I was really sad. We made a special coffin for her and put her in the ground. It hurts me to see T's in bad enviroments.

Poor little baby. I'm sorry you lost your sweet little friend. I guess in a way it would have been easier to walk out of the Petco and forget about her but you did the right thing, even though it's hard now. Because of you she got to have a happy life for a while.

You gave her the best quality of life, even though it was short lived. At least she was treated with dignity, not pestered by crickets till her end. My heart goes out to you.

this is why i'm so glad that the only t i've seen around here has been in a pet store that actually takes care of the animals in it.

i'm glad you took her home and let her be happy again before she died. you did the right thing by her and that's all that counts. :overheadclap:

Thats so sad, I have rescued a few myself but they all managed to survive. You are a good T keeper!
