Handling Movements

Would it be better to handle a tarantula by moving the hand the tarantula will move onto under the hand he/she is currently on as opposed to OVER that hand? I imagine moving it over the tarantula would startle them.

I believe most people do it under, to the T it's just like taking a stroll across ground lol.

I would think magical moving flesh would be a better term...just don't tell the T that it is walking on a potentially nutritious section of ground. lol
